THE PURPOSE OF THE BISTRO IS TO ADDRESS, AND ELIMINATE HUNGER ISSUES IN PREBLE COUNTY, OHIO FOR THE DISADVANTAGED AND/OR LOW INCOME POPULATIONS. THE PLANNED ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF THIS PURPOSE ARE: PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL MEALS DURING HOURS OF RESTAURANT OPERATION. CUSTOMERS ARE SERVED A MEAL REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. THOSE THAT ARE ABLE TO PAY WILL BE OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY MORE THAN THE MENU PRICE TO "PAY-IT-FORWARD" TO SUPPORT THE UNPAID/UNDERPAID MEALS. COMMUNITY MEALS WILL BE SCHEDULED ON A REGULAR BASIS FREE OF CHARGE, AGAIN WITH THE TARGET POPULATIONS OF THE DISADVANTAGED AND/OR LOW INCOME. JOB TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR LOW/NO INCOME INDIVIDUALS TO GAIN JOB SKILLS FOR WORK IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY. THE BISTRO WILL ONLY HAVE TWO PAID STAFF, A FRONT MANAGER AND A CHEF. THE REMAINDER OF THE POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED BY VOLUNTEER STAFF.
