YOUTURN CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS AGES 12-25 TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE AND TO LEAD PRODUCTIVE LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY. THESE OPPORTUNITIES ARE CREATED THROUGH OUR WOMENS SERVICES AND SCHOOL AND STREET OUTREACH PROGRAMS.EVIDENCED BASED CURRICULUM IS USED (TO CREATE A RISK REDUCTION PLAN) TO FACILITATE MOTIVATIONAL CONVERSATIONS WITH ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG ADULTS, TO PROMOTE POSITIVE THOUGHTS, POSITIVE FEELINGS AND POSITIVE BEHAVIORS. ANOTHER UNIQUE COMPONET OF THESE OUTREACH PROGRAMS IS THAT PARTICIPANTS ARE OFFERED SCREENING FOR BEHAVIORAL/MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND REFERRED FOR TREATMENT AS NECESSARY TO PROMOTE HEALING. ADDITIONALLY, PARTICIPANTS ARE REFERRED TO COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR ADDITIONAL ASSESSED NEEDS TO INCLUDE BUILDING EMPLOYMENT SKILLS AND JOB PLACEMENT.
