COMMUNITY ECOLOGY CENTER: IN 2019, CEI PURCHASED A 6.4 ACRE ORGANIC FARM IN OUR HOMETOWN OF COLUMBIA, MARYLAND. WE ARE CREATING A COMMUNITY ECOLOGY CENTER ON THIS UNIQUE PROPERTY WHERE PEOPLE CAN LEARN THROUGH HANDS ON EXPERIENCES ABOUT HOW THEY CAN HAVE HAPPIER, HEALTHIER, MORE CONNECTED AND SUSTAINABLE LIVES.
ROOTS & WINGS LEARNING COMMUNITY: THE MISSION OF ROOTS & WINGS IS TO PROVIDE A SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR HOME-SCHOOLED CHILDREN, WHERE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, CREATIVITY AND VOICES ARE NURTURED THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL AND NATURE-INFUSED LESSONS AND ACTIVITIES.
COLUMBIA FAMILIES IN NATURE: CFIN PROVIDES FREQUENT, FREE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER IN NATURE. BY CONNECTING FAMILIES WITH NEARBY NATURE, THE GOALS OF CFIN ARE TO: FOSTER GREATER CONNECTION WITH NATURE AND THE COMMUNITY; INCREASE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND ACTION; SUPPORT THE WELL-BEING OF PARTICIPANTS; AND HELP STRENGTHEN FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS.
