SECOND NURTURE PARTNERS WITH HOST COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE BELONGING AND CONNECTION FOR FOSTERING, PRE-ADOPTIVE AND ADOPTIVE FAMILIES THROUGH OUR MONTHLY COHORT MEETINGS TO ADDRESS THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM, GET DIRECT ANSWERS TO SOMETIMES CONFUSING PROCESSES, AND FIND MEANINGFUL SUPPORT.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS (NATIONAL): ESTABLISHED AN EXECUTIVE TEAM OF 5 MEMBERS, THE NATIONAL PLANNING TEAM, TO BUILD OUR INFRASTRUCTURE, STANDARDIZE OUR PROCEDURES AND PROGRAMMING ACROSS ALL OUR LOCATIONS AND WRITE A HANDBOOK. HIRED AN LCSW FOR CONSULTATION ON CLINICAL CONCERNS. HIRED A LOS ANGELES DIRECTOR TO ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIPS WITH MORE HOST COMMUNITIES IN LA AND COORDINATE BETWEEN ALL OF THEM, WHO ALSO SERVES ON THE NPT. HIRED A CHICAGO AFFILIATE COORDINATOR.


ACCOMPLISHMENTS (AFFILIATE CITIES): ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS WITH 3 NEW HOST COMMUNITIES IN BOSTON, 2 IN CHICAGO AND 2 MORE IN LOS ANGELES. IN TOTAL, REGISTERED 41 NEW FAMILIES AND 57 KIDS. BEGAN A WAITING LIST OF FAMILIES IN L.A. WHO WANT TO JOIN. COLLECTED A GARAGE FULL OF DONATED CLOTHING FOR FOSTER FAMILIES. ALL FOSTER PARENTS IN OUR PROGRAMS REPORT INCREASED CAPACITY DUE TO THE SUPPORT PROVIDED BY 2N AND HOST COMMUNITIES.
