THE ORGANIZATION EXISTS TO PROMOTE THE CREATION AND PRESERVATION OF INDEPENDENT EXPRESSION INCLUDING FILM, VIDEO AND OTHER FORMS OF MEDIA, OFFERING ENGAGING OPPORTUNITIES, SUPPLORT, AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES TO ENRICH AND EXPAND THE ARTISTIC LIFE OF CREATORS AND AUDIENCES. FIMA HAS BEEN ORGANIZED TO OPERATE FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO : CONDUCTION EDUCATIONAL, CULTULRAL, AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS : OPERATING A CENTER FOR THE MEDIA ARTS AND : ENGAGING IN ALL ACTIVITIES THAT WILL FURTHER AND ARE CONSISTANT WITH THE MISSION, SUCH AS PUBLIC MEDIA AND PERFORMANCES, PRESENTATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS, PANEL DISCUSSIONS, MEDIA PRODUCTION, PUBLISHING, EDUCATION, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS.

PROVIDE CONTRIBUTIONS TO MUSEUMS RELATED TO PUBLICE SCREENING OF INDEPENDENT FILMS INCLUDING ONE ORIGINAL NARRATIVE FILM AND ONE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTARIES. ALSO, TO PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMING.


PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION PROGRAMING. ALSO FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CINEMA AND MOTION PICTURE ARTISTS.
