THE ORGAIZATION RAISES FUNDS AND ACCEPTS CONTRIBUTIONS FOR PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT AND ENRICH THE MUSIC PROGRAM AT PLACER HIGH SCHOOL. THE ACTIVITIES AND PERFORMANCES PAID FOR BY THE ORGANIZATION ENRICH AND ENHANCE THE LIVES OF STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOL BAND AND CHOIR. THE STUDENTS REPRESENT THE SCHOOL AND CITY BY PLAYING AT SCHOOL SPORTING GAMES, CITY PARADES AND FESTIVALS, AND STATEWIDE COMPETITIONS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS VARIOUS FUND RAISING EVENTS EACH YEAR, INCLUDING A CHRISTMAS TREE LOT, SERVICE INCOME FOR HELPING AT FAIR, SALE OF FOOD AND SCHOOL CLOTHING, A CRAB FEED AND OTHER FUNDRAISERS. PROFITS FROM THESE EVENTS WERE SPENT ON STIPENDS FOR COACHES, MUSIC SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT, SCHOLORSHIPS FOR OUTSTANDING STUDENTS GOING ON TO COLLEGE, AND CATERING FOR SCHOOL AWARD CEREMONIES AND COMPETITIONS.
