Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
BROOKLINK RESUMED A ROBUST SEASON OF ENGAGEMENT IN 2022. OUR BIGGEST ENGAGEMENT WAS THE RETURN TO FULL-TIME SERVICE OF OUR FOUNDER AND CEO, LEE HEYWARD, IN AUGUST. HE HAD BEEN SERVING TEMPORARILY AS ELMBROOK CHURCH'S LEAD PASTOR FOR OVER THREE YEARS, INCLUDING AN EXTENSION DURING THEIR SEARCH FOR A PERMANENT LEAD PASTOR. WITH LEE BACK AT THE HELM AND PRE-COVID-19 TRAVELING OPPORTUNITIES RETURNED, BROOKLINK TRAINING OCCURRED IN UGANDA, PAKISTAN, AND ETHIOPIA IN THE FALL OF 2022. PRIOR TO LEE'S RETURN, OUR INTERIM PRESIDENT, IAN LAWSON, TRAVELLED TO MILWAUKEE IN FEBRUARY, APRIL, AND JUNE, WHILE HOLDING WEEKLY STAFF ZOOM CALLS AS HE LIVED IN CANADA. IN ANTICIPATION OF LEE'S RETURN, BROOKLINK'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS HOSTED A WEEKEND RETREAT IN APRIL TO DISCUSS LONG-TERM PLANS. THIS BOARD PLANNING SESSION WAS FOLLOWED BY OUR ANNUAL DINNER GATHERING INCLUDING STAFF, BOD, AND FACILITATORS. BROOKLINK ALSO WORKED WITH A BRANDING CONSULTANT IN SEPTEMBER 2022 TO CONSIDER WAYS TO REFLECT AND PLAN BROOKLINK'S FUTURE. BROOKLINK CONTINUED TO BUILD RAPPORT WITH SUPPORTING CHURCHES WITH LEE GUEST PREACHING AT MEADOWBROOK CHURCH, FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH, AND ELMBROOK CHURCH IN WISCONSIN. BROOKLINK CONTINUED ITS ANNUAL CELEBRATION, WINDOWS TO THE WORLD, IN OCTOBER 2022, PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE MINISTRY AND HEAR COMPELLING STORIES FROM THE FIELD. WE ALSO CONTINUED MONTHLY COMMUNICATIONS, MONTHLY FACILITATOR ZOOM CALLS, AS WELL AS QUARTERLY BOARD MEETINGS. AS 2022 WRAPPED UP WITH A SUCCESSFUL YEAR-END CAMPAIGN, WE LOOKED FORWARD TO TRAINING IN 2023 AND HAD TRIPS PLANNED FOR INDIA, UGANDA, RWANDA, ARMENIA, CZECH REPUBLIC AND ROMANIA, WHILE ANTICIPATING POTENTIAL INVITATIONS FROM OTHER PARTNERS.
