TO IMPROVE OPPORTUNITIES AND OUTCOMES FOR STUDENTS BY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT, GROWTH, AND SUSTAINABILITY OF QUALITY CHARTERED PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN WASHINGTON, DC. WE ARE THE COLLECTIVE VOICE OF DC'S CHARTERED PUBLIC SCHOOL LEADERS.

END THE LIST- AN ASSERTIVE EFFORT ON THE PART OF THE ASSOCIATION TO RAISE AWARENESS AMONG DC COMMUNITY MEMBERS ABOUT THE NEARLY 12,000 DISTRICT STUDENTS WHO ARE ON WAITING LISTS FOR ENROLLMENT IN PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS.
DC SOAR- THE ASSOCIATION WORKS TO SUPPORT AND ENSURE THE QUALITY OF CHARTER SCHOOLS IN ACADEMIC AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS, BUSINESS FINANCE AND GOVERNMENT BY FACILITATING ACCESS TO INFORMATION, BEST PRACTICES, TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND NETWORKING ACROSS SCHOOLS.
MEMBERSHIP- CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERS MUST BE PART OF THE POLICY-MAKING PROCESS ON ALL MAJOR DECISIONS INVOLVING THE DIRECTION OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE DISTRICT. THE VOICES OF CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERS, TEACHERS, PARENTS AND STUDENTS MUST BE HEARD. COLLECTIVELY, THEY ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH- AND IT IS THE MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATION THAT THEY HAVE CREATED THAT MUST FORGE AND FACILITATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THAT UNIFIED POLICY PRESENCE.
