THE OBJECTIVES OF RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ARE TO (1) PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES, (2) PROVIDE CURRENT EDUCATION AND INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYEES ABOUT TO RETIRE AND OTHER MEMBERS, (3) ADVOCATE, PARTICIPATE IN AND/OR PROMULGATE LEGISLATION AND POLICY AFFECTING RETIREES, (4) PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE A NEWSLETTER FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERSHIP, AND (5) COORDINATE LEGISLATION AND POLICY AFFECTING RETIREES.
