DMVA'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING FACILITATED COMMUNICATION AND THE FLOW OF INFORMATION BETWEEN DEL MAR'S BUSINESS COMMUNITY, RESIDENTS, VISITORS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. PROGRAMMING FACILITATED ECONOMIC STABILITY AND UNITY IN THE DEL MAR DOWNTOWN BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY THROUGH SUCCESSFUL PROMOTIONS AND OUTREACH EFFORTS WHILE PRESERVING DEL MAR'S HISTORY AND UNIQUE CHARACTER. FY 2023-2024 PROGRAMMING INCLUDED, OUTREACH COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING EVENTS, CITY AND SECURITY ISSUES, MARKETING, GRANT OPPORTUNITIES, SOLID WASTE ETC., DMVA WORK WITH NEW AND EXPANDED DEL MAR BUSINESSES, DMVA SUPPORTED HISTORIC PRESERVATION, UPDATING A DOWNTOWN ONLINE EVENT CALENDAR AND RESOURCE CENTER, EDUCATING ON DOWNTOWN HISTORIC POINTS OF INTEREST WALKING TOUR WITH OVER 12 INTERACTIVE PLAQUES, PROMOTING DEL MAR VILLAGE LOGO/BRANDING, WORKING ON DOWNTOWN ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS SUCH AS A NEW DEL MAR SHORESAVER PROGRAM AND THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 6 NEW WATER BOTTLE FILL STATIONS AT PARKS AND BEACH. DMVA AGAIN PARTNERED WITH THE URBAN CORPS OF SAN DIEGO TO CLEAN AND POWERWASH DEL MAR'S DOWNTOWN SIDEWALKS, ALONG WITH THE ROTARY CLUB OF DEL MAR TO REFURBISH DOWNTOWN STREET FURNITURE AND A LOCAL PARK. DMVA HELPED IMPLEMENT A BENCH AND OTHER STREETSCAPE FURNITURE DONATION PROGRAM. DMVA DEVELOPED AN ONLINE RESOURCE CENTER FOR THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE BUSINESSES WITH NEW RELEVANT INFORMATION TO HELP DOWNTOWN DEL MAR BUSINESS OWNERS LEARN, GROW AND STAY INFORMED. DMVA CONTINUED TO IMPOEMENT A SHOP LOCAL DEL MAR VILLAGE E-CARD TO ENCOURAGE SHOPPING AND DINING LOCAL. DMVA PROVIDED GOVERNMENT LIAISON SUPPORT, FEEDBACK AND INFORMATION GATHERING.


DMVA PROMOTES AND ENHANCES THE VILLAGE OF DEL MAR, WHILE PRESERVING ITS HISTORY AND UNIQUE CHARACTER, BY HOSTING AND PROMOTING DOWNTOWN EVENTS. THE FY 2023-2024 EVENTS INCLUDED WINTER TASTE & SIP NORTH POLE BY THE SEA, SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST CANCER CHEER STATION IN DEL MAR VILLAGE, SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, COMEDY NIGHTS, SUMMER SOLSTICE, BEACH AND COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUPS, BREEDERS' CUP 2024, COMEDY NIGHTS AND OTHER SMALLER DOWNTOWN EVENTS. THE TOTAL EVENT ATTENDEES FOR THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR WAS INCLUDED APPROXIMATELY 60,000+ WITH IN PERSON AND ONLINE PARTICIPANTS. DMVA WORKED WITH OVER 150 LOCAL BUSINESSES AND HUNDREDS OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY CONTRACTORS, MEDIA OUTLETS, AND OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT ITS MISSION.


DMVA'S DESTINATION MARKETING PROGRAMMING HELPED TO PROMOTE DEL MAR VILLAGE TO KEEP THE DEL MAR LOCAL ECONOMY HEALTHY WITH LOCALS AND VISTORS AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. DMVA SUPPORTED A ROBUST WEBSITE WITH MULTIPLE FUNCTIONALITIES FOR EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY OF DEL MAR, ALONG WITH ITS BUSINESSES, EVENTS AND THINGS TO DO. DMVA DEVELOPED AND CONTINUALLY UPDATEE BLOG POSTS, CALENDAR LISTINGS, BUSINESS LISTINGS, SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS (OVER 1,500 NEW INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS AND 690,000 IMPRESSIONS AND 453,000 FACEBOOK IMPRESSIONS), DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY, EMAILS (OVER 30 EMAILS SENT), AND OTHER DIGITAL ASSETS TO KEEP DEL MAR TOP OF MIND FOR THE VISITORS AND COMMUNITY IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY AND THROUGHOUT THE US.
