A GROUP INTERESTED IN CUTTING HORSES FELT THERE WAS A NEED IN THIS AREA FOR MORE CUTTING ACTIVITIES. IT WAS AGREED UPON TO FORM A LOCAL ASSOCIATION WHOSE MAJOR GOALS WOULD BE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CUTTING HORSE EVENTS WITHIN THE FINANCIAL REACH OF ALL INTERESTED CUTTERS ON THE CENTRAL COAST. SPECIAL EMPHASIS WOULD BE ON THE NOVICE RIDER, AND HORSE AND YOUTH CUTTER.CLASSES HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THIS GOAL WITH CLINICS AND PRACTICE CUTTINGS TO INSTRUCT THE NOVICE AND YOUTH CUTTERS OF THE MEMBERSHIP.THE CENTRAL COAST CUTTING HOSE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP CONSISTS OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FROM THE RURAL AND URBAN AREAS WHO EITHER OWN OR RIDE A CUTTING HORSE OR THOSE WHO JUST HAVE AN INTEREST IN CUTTING AND THE COMPETITION OF THE SPORT.
