THE MISSION OF THE CARSON COUNTY SQUARE HOUSE MUSEUM IS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL OF MUSEUM EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE COLLECTION, CARE, EXHIBITION, INTERPRETATION , AND DEMONSTRATION OF ARTIFACTS PERTAINING TO THE TEXAS PANHANDLE REGION.

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT - THE MUSEUM MAINTAINS A SUBSTANTIAL COLLECTION OF ARTIFACTS WHICH PERTAIN TO THE LOCAL TEXAS PANHANDLE AREA. REGISTRATION AND MAINTENANCE EXPENSES ARE NECESSARY TO MANAGE AND MAINTAIN THE CONDITION OF THESE ITEMS.
EDUCATION - THE MUSEUM HAS VARIOUS CLASSES FOR CILDREN, INCLUDING SUMMER YOUTH ARTS AND LINE CAMP. IN ADDITION, TOURS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO AREA SCHOOLS. UPON REQUEST, THERE IS A TRAVELING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM UTILIZING TRUNKS OF HISTORICAL AREA ARTIFACTS AND INFORMATION.
EXHIBITION - THE MUSEUM CONDUCTS TOURS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR AREA SCHOOLS AS WELL AS FOR OTHER LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS AND PRIVATE CITIZENS. THE MUSEUM IS OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FOR VIEWING BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
