THE MISSION OF THE LONE STAR FLIGHT MUSEUM (LSFM) IS TO CELEBRATE FLIGHT AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN TEXAS AVIATION HISTORY AND TO ENGAGE OUR YOUTH THROUGH SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY, AND MATH (STEM). OUR VISION IS TO BE A DYNAMIC AND INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM REACHING THE YOUTH OF TEXAS AS A RECOGNIZED EXPERIENCE OF CHOICE. WE BELIEVE AVIATION INSPIRES ACHIEVEMENT AND ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.

MUSEUM OPERATIONS - THE LSFM COLLECTION HAS MORE THAN 5,000 ARTIFACTS, 80 LINEAR FEET OF ARCHIVES, 2,000 PHOTOGRAPHS, 2,000 BOOKS IN THE RESEARCH LIBRARY, AND 24 AIRCRAFT ON DISPLAY WITH HIGHLIGHTED STEM FACTS. THE TEXAS AVIATION HALL OF FAME, WHICH INCLUDES THREE U.S. PRESIDENTS, EMBODIES LESSONS IN CHARACTER AND ACHIEVEMENT.
FLIGHT PROGRAM - GUESTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET THE PILOTS AND CREW CHIEFS AND FLY IN ONE OF THE MUSEUM'S HISTORIC PLANES AND HAVE THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE OF HOW SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) COMBINE TO ENABLE FLIGHT.
EDUCATION - THE LONE STAR FLIGHT MUSEUM COMBINES A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH AN IMMERSIVE AVIATION EXPERIENCE TO INSPIRE YOUNG PEOPLE TOWARD THE STUDY OF STEM DISCIPLINES.
