DURING THE YEAR, THE STAPLES AREA MEN'S CHORUS (SAMC) HAD 25 MEMBERS, WHICH WAS A DECREASE FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR WE BELIEVE THIS IS STILL A RESULT OF COVID-19. OUR YEAR STARTED WITH THE LITTLE RED CABOOSE VARIETY SHOW IN WHICH WE PERFORMED AND ASSISTED BACK STAGE. WE NEXT TRIED SOMETHING NEW ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2021, WE HAD THE CONCERT ON THE FARM WHICH WAS AN OUTDOOR CONCERT WITH 25 PARTICIPANTS AND 120 ON SITE AUDIENCE AND 25 VIRTUAL LIVE STREAM ATTENDEES. OUR MUSIC FESTIVAL "REAL MEN SING" TOOK ANOTHER TURN OR CHANGE, WE SENT OUT A PROFESSIONAL QUARTET TO AREA HIGH SCHOOLS TO SING AND WORK WITH STUDENTS. ANOTHER GOAL OF THE FESTIVAL IS TO HELP HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE MUSIC PROGRAMS ATTRACT AND RETAIN MALE SINGERS FOR THEIR CHORAL ENSEMBLES AND TO HELP THEM REMAIN STRONG AND VIBRANT ORGANIZATIONS. REAL MEN SING AIMS TO HELP YOUNG MEN FIND THE JOY AND RICHNESS THAT SINGING BRINGS TO LIFE. WE ALSO CONTINUED TO WORK ON OUR WEBSITE AND VIRTUAL DELIVERY OPTIONS. WE PARTICIPATED AS PART OF OUR OUTREACH AND VIRTUAL DELIVERY IN THE EMPTY STOCKING FUND RAISER ON DECEMBER 8, 2021 WHICH INCLUDED A RADIO FEED. WE PERFORMED A VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT ON DECEMBER 11, 2021 WITH 300 LIVE STREAM ATTENDEES FROM MINNESOTA TO ARIZONA AND FLORIDA. APRIL 2ND FOUND US COMBING WITH THE STAPLES AREA WOMEN'S CHORUS TO DO MUSIC AT THE MOVIES, WHICH INCLUDED 52 PARTICIPANTS AND 245 IN PERSON ATTENDEES. OUR SEASON ENDED ON MAY 24, 2022 WITH DADS AND LADS CONCERT WHICH WE WORKED WITH SEVERAL AREA SCHOOLS AND WAS PERFORMED AT ONE OF THE SCHOOLS.
