THE FELLOWSHIP OPEN ENCOURAGES YOUTH TO PURSUE AND REALIZE THEIR DREAMS, AND PARTICULARLY TO CONSIDER CAREERS IN BUSINESS. THE ACTIVITIES THAT THE FELLOWSHIP OPEN SUPPORTS AFFECT ALL ASPECTS OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING THE ARTS, TECHNOLOGY, JOB SKILLS AND JOB READINESS. EMPHASIS ON TECHNOLOGY IS AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THE MISSION OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPEN. ONE OF THE MANY WAYS IN WHICH THE OPEN LEADS YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TO THE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY IS THROUGH A SERIES OF MENTORING PROGRAMS. FOR EXAMPLE, WHILE ADULTS PARTICPATE IN THE GOLF OUTING, YOUNG PEOPLE AND BUSINESS AND CIVIC LEADERS MEET TO DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITIES FOR THEIR BRIGHT AND EXCITING FUTURES, INSPIRING THOSE YOUNGSTERS WITH LIVING EXAMPLES AND REALISTIC HOPES OF WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE AND PROVIDE INSIGHT REGARDING JOB INTERVIEWING, JOB TRAINING AND EFFECTIVE WAYS TO OPERATE IN A WORK ENVIRONMENT.
