THE SCHULER SCHOLAR PROGRAM EQUIPS HIGH-ACHIEVING AND UNDERREPRESENTED STUDENTS TO GAIN ACCESS TO AND SUCCEED AT HIGHLY SELECTIVE COLLEGES AND BEYOND. SCHULER SCHOLARS ARE TYPICALLY FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE-BOUND, ARE STUDENTS OF COLOR, OR COME FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. TO DATE, SCHULER HAS HELPED MORE THAN 1,800 STUDENTS ON THEIR PATH TO COLLEGE AND BEYOND BY PROVIDING ACADEMIC COACHING AND COUNSELING, LEADERSHIP AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES, AND EXPOSURES TO A WIDE VARIETY OF CULTURAL, SOCIAL, AND CIVIC EXPERIENCES. STUDENTS ALSO RECEIVE EXPERT GUIDANCE ON MAXIMIZING FINANCIAL AID AND BUILDING STRONG COLLEGE APPLICATIONS. THE PROGRAM CURRENTLY OPERATES IN 16 HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT PORTIONS OF CHICAGO AND MILWAUKEE. IN ADDITION, THE PROGRAM PARTNERS WITH NUMEROUS COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND PROVIDES ITS SCHOLARS WITH FINANCIAL AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT, INCLUDING A DEDICATED MENTOR AND CAREER NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, RESULTING IN A 94% GRADUATION RATE.
