SUPPORT FOR SCHOOL COLLABORATION COLLECTIVE (SC2), SUPPORT PILOT OF FOUR QUALIFYING SCHOOLS PROVIDING HOLISTIC, LONG TERM, TARGETED STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT. SC2 SUPPORTS TEACHERS AND LEADERS AT IMPROVING SCHOOLS TO GIVE MORE DETROIT CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE QUALITY EDUCATION.
SUPPORT FOR MODEL SCHOOLS, SUPPORT BY IMPROVING COACHING FOR LEADERSHIP TEAMS, MASTER TEACHERS AND TEACHERS FOR THE ELA AND MATH CURRICULA AT THE 16 K-8 SCHOOLS FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR, AND FOCUS ON DEVELOPING THE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP SCHOOLS.
PROFESSIONAL INNOVATORS IN TEACHING (A PROGRAM CREATED BY MAPSA) IS A STATE-APPROVED MICHIGAN ALTERNATIVE TEACHER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. IT IS DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT TEACHER SHORTAGES. THROUGH THE PROGRAM, CANDIDATES ARE PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS, SUPPORT, AND COACHING TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS THEIR MTTC AND OBTAIN TEACHER CERTIFICATION.
