THE SUN CITIES AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS DEDICATED TO THE PRESERVATION AND PRESENTATION OF THE RECORDS AND ARTIFACTS FOR SUN CITY, ARIZONA, THE WORLD'S FIRST ACTIVE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY AND ITS SISTER CITY SUN CITY WEST. THROUGH DOCUMENTATION AND DISPLAY IN THE FIRST MODEL HOME, PUBLIC PROGRAMS AND PUBLISHED WRITTEN MATERIALS, THE SOCIETY SEEKS TO INTERPRET FOR FUTURE GENERATION THE UNIQUE CONTEXT OF UBRAN DESIGN INTERACTION WITH VOLUNTEERISM TO MAINTAIN THESE PROGRESSIVE CITIES.

REFURBISHED AND ENHANCED THE MUSEUM WEBSITE. THIS EFFORT EXPANDED THE ENTITY'S REACH VIA THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA, ALLOWING MUSEUM FOLLOWERS TO STAY CURRENT ON EVENTS AND HOURS, AND ACCESS HISTORICAL SUN CITY ARTICLES AND PHOTOS REMOTELY.
PUBLISHED THE MUSEUM NEWSLETTER. THE MUSEUM WAS ABLE TO SEND MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS TO ITS MEMBERS, KEEPING THEM INFORMED OF FINANCES, NEW EXHIBITS, EXPANSIONS , AND EVENTS. THE NEWSLETTER REACHED APPROXIMATELY 250 MEMBERS EACH PERIOD.
REDESIGNED AND REFRESHED MUSEUM EXHIBITS. CREATED NEW EXHIBITS AND ROTATED OTHERS, PROVIDING FRESH DISPLAYS FOR VISITORS, MANY OF WHOM ARE MEMBERS, AND VISIT THE MUSEUM OFTEN. THESE EFFORTS BENEFITED NEARLY 1,800 VISITORS IN 2021.
