SA CANCER COUNCIL DONATES TO THE PATIENT AND FAMILY ASSISTANCE FUND AT THE MAYS CANCER CENTER WHICH PROVIDES SUPPORT TO CANCER PATIENTS IN TREATMENT, AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR HEALTH AND COMFORT NEEDS OF FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, LODGING, AND VISITING FAMILY MEMBERS. SA CANCER COUNCIL ALSO DONATES TO FUND RESEARCH PROJECTS AT THE MAYS CANCER CENTER. DURING 2021, THE COUNCIL PLEDGED A GIFT OF $1,000,000, OVER 10 YEARS, TO SUPPORT THE UT HEALTH MULTISPECIALTY & RESEARCH HOSPITAL. A PAYMENT OF $50,000 WAS MADE IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
