TENACIOUSLY TEAL, INC. IS DEDICATED TO MEETING THE NEEDS OF CANCER FIGHTERS THROUGH ENCOURAGEMENT, SERVICES, AND CARE PACKS FILLED WITH HELPFUL ITEMS FOR THE FIGHT.

CANCER CARE PACKS: IN 2021 THE ORGANIZATION DISTRIBUTED 6,110 CANCER CARE PACKS. TENACIOUSLY TEAL OFFERS LOVE AND SUPPORT TO CANCER FIGHTERS IN A TANGIBLE WAY THROUGH OUR CARE PACK PROGRAM. CARE PACKS ARE FILLED WITH CANCER FIGHTING ESSENTIALS FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN AND DELIVERED TO TREATMENT CENTERS ACROSS OKLHOMA AND MAILED NATIONWIDE AT NO COST. CARE PACKS CONTAIN ITEMS LIKE HAND SANITIZER, GREEN TEA, FUZZY SOCKS, KLEENEX, GREEN TEA, AND A HANDWRITTEN NOTE FROM AN ADULT OR CHILD. NOT ONLY ARE CARE PACKS FILLED WITH ITEMS TO BRING PATIENTS COMFORT THEY ALSO SYMBOLIZE AN EXTENSION OF LOVE AND HOPE FOR THOSE FIGHTING CANCER.
SPECIFIC ASSISTANCE: CANCER FIGHTERS FACE MANY CHALLENGES-SOME OF THEM FINANCIAL. TENACIOUSLY TEAL WORKS WITH HOSPITAL STAFF TO IDENTIFY PATIENTS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH BASIC NECESSITIES SUCH AS FOOD AND GAS TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO TREATMENT. TENACIOUSLY TEAL WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO PATIENTS IN NEED AND STRUGGLING TO AFFORD GAS AND ADEQUATE NUTRITION IN 2021. MANY OF THE GAS/GROCERY CARDS GIVEN TO CANCER FIGHTERS WERE PROVIDED TO CANCER FIGHTERS WHO HAD NO OTHER MEANS TO PAY FOR GAS TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO TREATMENT. SOME CANCER FIGHTERS TENACIOUSLY TEAL ASSISTED DROVE AS FAR AS 250 MILES ONE WAY TO THEIR DESIGNATED CANCER CENTER MULTIPLE TIMES EACH WEEK. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO SIGNIFICANTLY HELP MANY CANCER FIGHTERS THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S BOARD DESIGNATED FUND (BDF) - A GRANT PROGRAM TO HELP CANCER FIGHTERS IN EXTREME NEED. APPLICATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED THROUGH CANCER CENTER STAFF. THE BDF IS A FUND CREATED TO ASSIST CANCER FIGHTERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE IN NEED AND UNABLE TO BE ASSISTED BY OTHER FINANCIAL RESOURCES OR PROGRAMS. THE FUND WAS CREATED TO HAVE FLEXIBILITY TO EVALUATE EACH REQUEST ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE CANCER FIGHTERS DIAGNOSIS, SOCIO ECONOMIC STATUS, SUPPORT SYSTEM AND NEED. FINAL GRANT DECISIONS ARE MADE BY THE BDF COMMITTEE ON WHICH REQUESTS WILL BE FULFILLED AND HOW MUCH MONEY IS ALLOTTED PER PERSON. GRANTS ARE NOT MADE DIRECTLY TO THE INDIVIDUALS BUT TO THIRD PARTIES (I.E. LANDLORDS, UTILITY COMPANIES). EXAMPLES OF BDF GRANTS ARE: CHEMOTHERAPY COPAYS, APPLIANCE/CAR REPAIR, HOSPITAL BED RENTAL, RENT/UTILITY ASSISTANCE, AND CHRISTMAS SPONSORSHIPS.
BRAVE SHAVE PARTIES & EMPOWERMENT SHOOTS: THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED 10 BRAVE SHAVE PARTIES AND EMPOWERMENT SHOOTS FOR WOMEN FACING HAIR LOSS FROM CANCER TREATMENT. THE BRAVE SHAVE PARTIES AND SHOOTS EMPOWER WOMEN TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL IN A SUPPORTIVE ATMOSPHERE WHILE FACING HAIR LOSS FROM CANCER TREATMENT ON THEIR OWN TERMS. FOR EACH BRAVE SHAVE PHOTOGRAPHY, APPETIZERS, AND A HAIR STYLIST ARE PROVIDED AT NO COST. FOR EACH EMPOWERMENT SHOOT PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP, STYLING, AND PHOTOGRAPHY ARE PROVIDED FOR THE CANCER FIGHTER.
