RMHC-DENVER PROVIDES A HOME AWAY FROM HOME AT NO COST TO FAMILIES TRAVELLING TO DENVER FOR THE MEDICAL CARE THEIR CHILDREN NEED.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSES:RMHC-DENVER OPERATES TWO RONALD MCDONALD HOUSES, ONE IN AURORA AND ONE IN DENVER. OUR MAIN FOCUS IS PROVIDING COMFORTABLE, FREE, TEMPORARY HOUSING TO OUT-OF-TOWN FAMILIES NEEDING TO BE NEAR THEIR HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN. BETWEEN OUR TWO HOUSES WE'RE ABLE TO SERVE UP TO 118 FAMILIES EACH NIGHT. IN 2021, 1,476 GUEST FAMILIES CHECKED INTO OUR HOUSES AND STAYED A TOTAL OF 26,411 NIGHTS COLLECTIVELY. FAMILIES ARE OFFERED PROGRAMMING THAT HELPS THEM FEEL AT HOME SUCH AS MEALS, LAUNDRY FACILITIES, PLAY SPACES, VISITS FROM THERAPY DOGS, AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT CULTURAL VENUES AND SPORTING EVENTS FOR FREE.
RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOMS:STEPS AWAY FROM THEIR CHILD'S HOSPITAL ROOM, RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOMS OFFER FAMILIES A PLACE TO REST AND REGROUP RIGHT IN THE HOSPITAL. DUE TO THE CONTINUING LIMITATIONS AROUND THE PANDEMIC, IN 2021, ONE RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOM IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN WAS OPEN AND SERVED 392 VISITORS. THOSE GUESTS MADE 920 VISITS TO THE FAMILY ROOM TO EAT, DO LAUNDRY, PLAY WITH TOYS, OR RELAX.
