THE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE CULTURAL ENRICHMENT AND ART EDUCATION IN THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE AND ESPECIALLY CULTURAL TOURISM, BY ESTABLISHING ROCKPORT AND THE ROCKPORT CENTER FOR THE ARTS AS A MAJOR ART DESTINATION FOR VISITORS.
