THE MISSION OF THE ARTS COUNCIL OF NEW ORLEANS IS TO SUPPORT AND EXPAND THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DIVERSE ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND TO BRING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER IN CELEBRATION OF OUR RICH MULICULTURAL HERITAGE.

PUBLIC ART: UNFRAMED IS A MULTI-MURAL EXHIBITION OF LARGE SCALE ARTWORK IN DOWNTOWN NEW ORLEANS. YOUNG ARTIST MOVEMENT (YAM) ENGAGES YOUTH, ARTISTS, AND COMMUNITIES IN PUBLIC ART AND PLACE-MAKING ACROSS NEW ORLEANS. GENTILLY RESILIENCE DISTRICT IS A COMBINATION OF EFFORTS ACROSS GENTILLY TO REDUCE FLOOD RISK, SLOW LAND SUBSIDENCE, IMPROVE ENERGY RELIABILITY AND ENCOURAGE NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION; ARTS COUNCIL IS FACILITATING THE PUBLIC ART COMPONENT OF THE PROJECT. SALON IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH CANAL PLACE TO OFFER FREE STUDIO AND EXHIBITION SPACE IN A RETAIL STOREFRONT. LUNA FETE IS A FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUTLIC FESTIVAL OF LIGHT, ART, AND TECHNOLOGY WHICH CELEBRATES NEW ORLEANS CREATIVE INDUSTRIES.
ARTIST SERVICES: GRANT PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS AND LOUISIANA DIVISION OF THE ARTS ARE ADMINISTERED BY THE ARTS COUNCIL AND ARE USED TO FUND ARTIST, ARTS ORGANIZAITONS, AND ART PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS. ARTS MARKET IS A MONTHLY FREE OPEN-AIR MARKETPLACE OF ARTWORK MADE BY NEW ORLEANS AND GULF COASTS ARTISTS.
