TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - NICCA HELD THREE TRAINING INSTITUTES WHERE 96 EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS WERE TRAINED ON HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY WORK WITH CHILDREN WITH HIGH NEEDS.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - NICCA PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DIRECTLY TO TRIBAL CHILD CARE PROGRAMS AND TO PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITH AMERICAN INDIAN, ALASKA NATIVE, AND NATIVE HAWAIIAN CHILDREN. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED ON A RANGE OF TOPICS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, STRENGTHENING SYSTEMS, IMPROVING PROGRAM EFFICIENCIES, DEVELOPMENT OF STAFF AND MANAGERS, GROWING CHILD CARE PROGRAMS, IMPROVING STAFF RETENTION, AND IDENTIFYING AND IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES.
