THE CENTER FOR CREATIVE LIVING, WHERE IT FEELS LIKE HOMETHE CENTER FOR CREATIVE LIVING FOCUSES ON IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS IN SW OKLAHOMA. THE CCL OFFERS PROGRAMS TO TEACH & ENCOURAGE PHYSICAL WELLNESS, NUTRITION & DIET; EMOTIONAL/SOCIAL WELLNESS; AND INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS. WITHOUT THE CCL THERE WOULD BE INCREASED RATES OF ISOLATION, DEPRESSION, INJURY, ILLNESS, AND EARLY DEATH AMONG OUR SENIOR CITIZENS. THE CCL IS A CRITICAL COMPONENT IN THE AGING CONTINUUM OF CARE AND FILLS AN IMPORTANT NEED FOR SENIORS. ACTIVE, HEALTHY AGING NOT ONLY BENEFITS INDIVIDUALS, BUT COMMUNITIES AS WELL. ACTIVE SENIORS ARE MORE ENGAGED, VOLUNTEER MORE, AND GENERALLY ADD VALUE TO THE OVERALL FABRIC OF A THRIVING COMMUNITY.THIS PAST YEAR:THE CCL SERVED OVER 22,000 MEALS.
