THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS AN INDEPENDENT VOICE FOR ALL SPECIES OF ARKANSAS WILDLIFE, A RELIABLE SOURCE OF FACTUAL INFORMATION, AND AN INCLUSIVE PARTNER TOWARD THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE AND THEIR HABITATS AND THE BENEFIT THEREOF TO THE CITIZENS OF ARKANSAS.

THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH CONSERVATION PARTNERS ACROSS THE STATE, INCLUDING OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, TO ADVANCE PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES THAT PROTECT WILDLIFE AND THEIR HABITATS IN ARKANSAS. THIS WORK ALSO INCLUDES MEETING WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT WILDLIFE ISSUES. THE ORGANIZATION PUBLISHES A QUARTERLY MAGAZINE, ARKANSAS OUT-OF-DOORS, WHICH HIGHLIGHTS WILDLIFE ISSUES IN THE STATE AND PROVIDES INFORMATION AND RESOURCES FOR PRIVATE CITIZENS. THE ANNUAL WILDLIFE OF ARKANSAS STUDENT ART CONTEST ADMINISTERED BY THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGES HUNDREDS OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE STATE EACH YEAR AND RECOGNIZES FINALISTS WITH FINANCIAL AWARDS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO RECOGNIZES GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO WILDLIFE CONSERVATION THROUGH ANNUAL PRESENTATION OF CONSERVATION ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS.
