LIVE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO THE GREATEST EXTENT POSSIBLE WITH LIMITED RESOURCES, THE GO GREEN INITIATIVE ADMINISTERS IN PERSON TRAINING SESSIONS CONDUCTED BY OUR FOUNDER AND CEO, JILL BUCK, AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE TRAINING SESSIONS INCLUDED STRATEGIES TO INCREASE COMMUNITY RECYCLING AND WASTE REDUCTION, ENERGY AND WATER CONSERVATION, AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION INTO EXISTING CURRICULUM.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE AMOUNTS GIVEN TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS AS SCHOLARSHIPS AND MINI GRANTS. WEB-BASED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES ACCORDING TO OUR ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION, THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF THIS CORPORATION IS TO ASSIST EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN ESTABLISHING ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIORS AND OPERATING PRACTICES. WE RECOGNIZE THAT THE PRIMARY MEANS OF FULFILLING THAT PURPOSE IS TO TRAIN VOLUNTEERS IN EVERY COMMUNITY THAT SELF-REGISTERS WITH THE GO GREEN INITIATIVE. WE CONDUCT THE MAJORITY OF OUR TRAINING THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND OTHER WEB-BASED PLATFORMS. THIS STRATEGY HAS ALLOWED OVER 2,700 COMMUNITIES IN ALL 50 U.S. STATES AND 73 ADDITIONAL COUNTRIES TO REGISTER THEMSELVES ON OUR WEBSITE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PUBLICATIONS, VIDEOS, PODCASTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA FORUMS WE HAVE CREATED AND CONTINUALLY UPDATE WITH NEW INSTRUCTIONAL CONTENT.
