THE JUNIOR LEAGUE MISSION IS TO PROMOTE VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOP THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. OUR PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE. OUR VISION IS TO BE WOMEN AS CATALYSTS FOR LASTING COMMUNITY CHANGE, AND WE SHARE CORE VALUES OF DIVERSITY, COLLABORATION, COMMUNITY, EMPOWERMENT, LEADERSHIP, RESPECT, AND SERVICE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDE OUR MEMBERS WITH A MINIMUM OF SEVEN YEARS OF SPECIALIZED VOLUNTEER AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING WITH THE GOAL OF DEVELOPING TRAINED VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE COMMUNITY LEADERS BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE ORGANIZATION, AS WELL AS IN OTHER COMMUNITY AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS.MAINTAINING OUR HISTORIC BUILDING ALLOWS US TO BETTER TRAIN THESE MEMBERS WHILE ALSO SUPPORTING OTHER LOCAL NON PROFITS. AN EXAMPLE OF THIS SUPPORT IS THE NONPROFIT CENTER LOCATED WITHIN OUR HEADQUARTERS WHICH OFFERS BELOW MARKET RENT TO NONPROFITS AS WELL AS ACCESS TO TRAINING AND SHARED RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE EFFORTS OF VARIOUS NON-PROFITS IN THE COMMUNITY.


DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS DIRECTED AT IMPROVING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN IN LITTLE ROCK. THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE OVER 3,000 STUDENTS IN THE LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOLS WITH REQUIRED SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE A LITERACY DAY AT THE LOCAL LIBRARY WHERE CHILDREN ARE SENT HOME WITH NUMEROUS BOOKS.


SUPPORTING TWO LOCAL NON-PROFITS. PROGRAMS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO A MONTHLY GATHERING TO FEED AND SUPPORT THE CARETAKERS OF CHILDREN AT THE LOCAL PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL AS WELL AS SUMMER CAMPS FOR CHILDREN WITH AND WITHOUT DISABILITIES.
