IN 2021, SVOC WORKED IN SOLANO, NAPA, AND OTHER NORTHERN CA COUNTIES TO TRAIN COMMUNITY LEADERS ON HOW TO ENGAGE EFFECTIVELY IN CIVIC LIFE. SVOC WORKED TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ADDRESS THE PRESSURES FACING FAMILIES IN NEIGHBORHOODS, SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITIES. SVOC ALSO BROUGHT TOGETHER FAMILIES AND POLICE OFFICERS TO ADDRESS CONCERNS ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY AND IMPROVE POLICE-COMMUNITY RELATIONS. SVOC HELD MULTIPLE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SESSIONS FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
