TO FURTHER THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE CAUSE OF BUILDING INTERNATIONAL GOODWILL AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR MANKIND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. OUR ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS SUPPORTING THE CAUSES OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL.

WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL VASCONI WELDING CENTER. CONTRIBUTED $33,000 TO UNDERWRITE THE COST OF MUCH NEEDED SHOP AND YARD IMPROVEMENTS AT THE VASCONI WELDING CENTER LOCATED AT WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL. THE VASCONI WELDING CENTER HAS CREATED AN EXCELLENT SKILLS BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT TO TEACH, TRAIN, AND DEVELOP WELDING AND VEHICLE REPAIR SKILLS IN A PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL SHOP ENVIRONMENT FOR THE STUDENTS AT WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL.


WINDSOR PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY. CONTRIBUTED $7,500 TO UNDERWRITE THE COST OF TRAVEL FOR 10 WINDSOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE ODYSSEY OF THE MIND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION AT IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY. SONOMA COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT. CONTRIBUTED $7,000 FOR THE SONOMA COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT TO CONSTRUCT A DROUGHT TOLERANT FIRE SAFE DEMONSTRATION GARDEN AT THE WINDSOR FIRE HOUSE.ROTARY DISTRICT 5130 YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM $4,980. HOSTED TWO INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE STUDENTS (GERMANY AND BRAZIL)FOR ONE YEAR TO HELP FOSTER WORLD PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. BOTH EXCHANGE STUDENTS ATTENDED WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL DURING THE 2022 ACADEMIC YEAR.TEACHER APPRECIATION AWARDS $4,540. HOSTED A TEACHER APPRECIATION AWARDS BREAKFAST FOR PEER-NOMINATED OUTSTANDING TEACHERS FROM EACH SCHOOL IN THE WINDSOR UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.COMMUNITY ART GALLERY. OUR ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTED $4,433 TO HELP UNDERWRITE THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION FOR A COMMUNITY ART GALLERY LOCATED IN WINDSOR. ACTIVE 20/30 CLUB HEALDSBURG/SANTA ROSA SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM. CONTRIBUTED $3,000 TO HELP UNDERWRITE THE ACTIVE 20/30 CLUB SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SCHOOL BACKPACKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, CLOTHING, AND SHOES TO THE UNDERSERVED STUDENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT NEED ASSISTANCE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN SCHOOL.WASTE LESS WINDSOR RECYCLING PROGRAM. CONTRIBUTED $3,144 TO UNDERWRITE THE COST OF A NEW RECYCLING EDUCATION PROGRAM IN WINDSOR TO HELP THE WINDSOR RECYCLING PROGRAM TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE BY INTRODUCING REUSEABLE CONSUMER PRODUCTS WHILE ALSO DIVERTING PRODUCTS INTO OUR TOWN'S RECYCLING PROGRAM VERSUS IMPACTING THE LOCAL LANDFILL. WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL. CONTRIBUTED $2,000 TO HELP UNDERWRITE THE COST OF PROJECT GRADUATION. PROJECT GRADUATION PROVIDES A SAFE AND DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE ENVIRONMENT TO HELP ENSURE THAT GRADUATING SENIORS FROM WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL CAN SAFELY CELEBRATE THEIR GRADUATION FROM WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL WITH THEIR FELLOW CLASSMATES.WINDSOR PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY. CONTRIBUTED $2,000 TO UNDERWRITE THE COST OF THE OCEANIC CULTURE EDUCATION STUDIES PROGRAM IN THE WINDSOR MIDDLE SCHOOL.ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. CONTRIBUTED $1,650 TO SEND TWO OUTSTANDING STUDENTS NOMINATED BY THEIR TEACHERS FROM WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL TO THIS ONE WEEK YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP SPONSORED BY ROTARY DISTRICT 5130.THE WINDSOR ROTARY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO YOUTH-ORIENTED PROGRAMS AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE AND HUMANITARIAN CAUSES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF OTHER CASH CONTRIBUTIONS TO WORTHY PROJECTS IN OUR COMMUNITY WAS $5,220.


WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALLING $16,560 WERE AWARDED TO COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF 12 OUTSTANDING HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING SENIORS ATTENDING COLLEGE IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/23.
