PROMOTION OF EDUCATION - TSPE AND ITS CHAPTERS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TN ENGINEERING FOUNDATION, SPONSORED MATHCOUNTS, A MATHEMATICS COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 6-8, GEARED TOWARD ENCOURAGING THE STUDY OF AND EXCELLENCE IN MATHEMATICS AMONG MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES LOCAL AND STATE COMPETITIONS; THE STATE WINNER PARTICIPATES IN THE NATIONAL MATHCOUNTS.TSPE SPONSORED A REVIEW COURSE FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATES WHO WERE PREPARING TO TAKE THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF ENGINEERING EXAMINATION TO BECOME LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS.TSPE SPONSORED EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS AND AN ANNUAL MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATING MEMBERS.

IN ADDITION, THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MONITORED AND LOBBIED THE STATE LEGISLATORS ON THESE ISSUES THROUGHOUT THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ALSO ATTENDED AND PARTICIPATED IN MEETINGS OF THE TN STATE BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING EXAMINERS.
