ADI EXISTS TO SERVE BY HELPING FAMILIES PRODUCE, CONSUME, AND MARKET NUTRITIOUS FOOD.

ADI OPERATES MOBILE MEETINGS THAT TEACH NUTRITION EDUCATION FOR THE MOTHERS OF MODERATELY MALNOURISHED CHILDREN. IN 2023 THIS PROGRAM WAS SUCCESSFUL IN TEACHING 74 MOTHERS AND ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF 84 CHILDREN EMERGING FROM A STATE OF MALNUTRITION. THE NUTRITION EDUCATION PROGRAM HOSTED A VOLUNTEER NUTRITIONIST TRAINED IN EUROPE FOR THREE MONTHS OF SERVICE.

ADI PROMOTES TECHNOLOGIES THAT ARE APPROPRIATE TO THE PRODUCTION OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS AMONG SMALLHOLDING FARMERS IN WEST AFRICA. IN 2023, ADI IMPLEMENTED SEVERAL INITIATIVES RELATED TO DEMONSTRATION FARMING. ADI PURCHASED AND DEMONSTRATED THE USE OF DRIP IRRIGATION. ADI OPERATED A DEMONSTRATION GARDEN IN GOURAYE, MAURITANIA.


ADI OPERATES A CENTER FOR CLEANING TEETH, APPLYING FLUORIDE, AND TEACHING DENTAL HEALTH. THE CENTER SERVED 546 PERSONS IN 2023. DEMONSTRATING HOW TO BRUSH TEETH IS A TYPICAL LESSON. THE CENTER IS STAFFED BY THREE WORKERS.
