DOWN ON MI FARM DINNERS - THESE FARM-TO-TABLE DINNERS BROUGHT TOGETHER COMMUNITY LEADERS, SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS, FARMERS, AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS TOGETHER TO HAVE MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. HOSTED ON THREE DIVERSIFIED FARMS IN ALBION, MANCHESTER, AND HUDSONVILLE, EACH DINNER INCLUDED A TOUR OF THE FARM, A SESSION ON HOW SOYBEANS TOUCH OUR EVERYDAY LIVES, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES, AND A FULL-COURSE MEAL FEATURING ALL MICHIGAN-GROWN FOODS AND PRODUCTS.


SPECIALTY CROP BLOCK GRANT - THE MICHIGAN AG COUNCIL UTILIZED FUNDS FROM A SPECIALTY CROP BLOCK GRANT FROM THE USDA TO BRING STREAMING ADS AND SPONSORED CONTENT ARTICLES INTO THE HOMES OF MORE THAN 1.7 MILLION CONSUMERS. THESE ADS FEATURED MICHIGAN FARMERS AND PRODUCTS GROWN IN THE STATE. MORE THAN 36 PERCENT OF THE AG COUNCIL'S REACH WAS THROUGH THE STREAMING ADS AND CONTENT ARTICLES.


MICHIGAN GROWN, MICHIGAN GREAT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM - THE AG COUNCIL WORKED WITH FIVE COLLEGE STUDENTS AS BRAND AMBASSADORS TO PROMOTE THE CAMPAIGN AND MEET CONSUMERS WHERE THEY ARE TO HAVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT MICHIGAN-GROWN COMMODITIES. THESE AMBASSADORS VISITED EIGHT FESTIVALS THROUGHOUT THE STATE AND REACHED NEARLY 103,000 CONSUMERS THROUGH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON CONTENT LIKE BLOG POSTS, CO-HOSTED PODCASTS, AND MANAGED FACEBOOK LIVE EVENTS WITH FARMERS ON DIGITAL CHANNELS.
