Part 3 - Line 4a
DESPITE ON-GOING COVID CONCERNS, IN AN EFFORT TO CONTINUE ITS MISSION TO CULTIVATE AND PROMOTE THE ART OF FILMMAKING, THE 2021 SUN VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL WAS HELD VIRTUALLY. THE FESTIVAL SCREENED 18 FILMS OVER 5 DAYS, INCLUDING PRE-RECORDED Q&AS WITH THE FILMMAKERS. IN ADDITION, THE FESTIVAL HONORED TWO VISION AWARD WINNERS AND ONE PIONEER AWARD WINNER VIRTUALLY BY BESTOWING THEIR AWARDS AT THE START OF AN HOUR-LONG RECORDED COFFEE TALK. TO CONTINUE THE FESTIVAL'S COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY, THE COFFEE TALKS WERE ABLE TO BE STREAMED FREE (ONCE A PAID WINDOW FOR PASSHOLDERS HAD EXPIRED). IN ADDITION TO FILMS AND COFFEE TALKS, THE FESTIVAL ALSO CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS TO SUPPORT EMERGING VOICES IN FILM THROUGH IT'S ON- GOING INITIATIVES, THE FORD PRODUCERS GRANT, THE SCREENWRITERS LAB AND THE FUTURE FILMMAKERS FORUM, ALL OF WHICH WERE ALSO HELD VIRTUALLY.
