DESPITE EXPERIENCING A SHOOTING FOUR BLOCKS FROM OUR VENUE ON OPENING NIGHT, AS WELL AS A STABBING AND MURDER ACROSS THE STREET ON DAY FOUR, THE FESTIVAL HELD AN EVENT IN PERSON AT LLOYD CENTER MALL, ONLINE AND ON OUR OWN TV CHANNEL FOR TWO WEEKS. LONGER THAN ANY FESTIVAL IN THE STATE. WE SCREENED OVER 407 INDEPENDENT FILMS FROM LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL FILMMAKERS. WE HAD IN-PERSON AND ONLINE INCLUDING DIRECTOR'S CHATS WITH FILMMAKERS, CAST, CREW AND INDUSTRY AFFILIATES. HELD OVER 70 EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, WORKHIPS AND PANELS WITH PROFESSIONALS WORLDWIDE AND LOCAL COMPANIES WITH TOPICS INCLUDING ACTING, SCREENWRITING, DIRECTING, WOMEN IN FLIM, SPECIAL EFFECTS, MAKEUP AND CINEMATOGRAPHY. WE BUILT OUT THEATERS, EVENT SPACES AND MOVIE AND MUSIC STORE AS OUR HEADQUARTERS.

HOSTED DIRECTOR'S CHATS DURING THE FESTIAVAL THAT INCLUDED THE GOVERNOR OF OREGON, KATE BROWN. DIRECTORS WERE GIVEN THE CHANE TO SPEAK IN FRONT OF A CROWD AT THE FESTIVAL HEADQUARTERS. FOOD AND DRINKS WERE PROVIDED TO ATTENDEES AND SPEAKERS.

WEL COLLECTED OVER TEN PALLETS OF USED MUSIC AND MOVIES THAT WERE DESTINED TO BE SENT TO A LANDFILL. WE ORGANIZED AND SOLD TO GUESTS FOR $1 EACH. THE FUNDS HELPED PAY FOR THE ITEMS BUT REALLY HELPED THE ENVIRONMENT BY REUSING THEM INSTEAD OF THROWING THEM OUT.
