BIG SKY DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL - PRESENTED MORE THAN 149 FILMS TO THE PUBLIC IN 2021 WITH APPROXIMATELY 24,857 IN ATTENDANCE. PROMOTED THE UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF NON-FICTION FILM AND VIDEO THROUGH THE BIG SKY DOC SHOP WITH CONFERENCE EVENTS, PANELS, WORKSHOPS AND MORE.
YOUTH EDUCATION - THE BIG SKY FILM INSTITUTE OFFERS EXCITING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE MEDIA LITERACY, OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS, FILMMAKERS, AND FAMILIES TO ACCESS, EVALUATE, CREATE, REFLECT AND ENGAGE IN DISCOURSE ON DOCUMENTARY FILM. BSFI IS DEDICATED TO BRINGING FILM EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO MONTANANS AND VISITING FILMMAKERS ALIKE DURING THE BSDFF AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
THE BIG SKY FILM SERIES IS A FREE MONTHLY FILM SERIES.
THE NATIVE FILMMAKER INITIATIVE FILM CLUB IS A VIRTUAL YOUTH EDUCATION OUTREACH PROGRAM THAT SCREENS A CURATED SELECTION OF INDIGENOUS-MADE DOCUMENTARY FILMS IN CLASSROOMS ACROSS THE STATE OF MONTANA.
