THE NEVADA DISCOVERY MUSEUM, DBA THE TERRY LEE WELLS NEVADA DISCOVERY MUSEUM, (THE DISCOVERY) IS A NONPROFIT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION FOUNDED IN 2004 TO INSPIRE CURIOSITY, CREATIVITY AND THE JOY OF LIFELONG LEARNING. THE DISCOVERY CREATES INTEREST AND ENGAGEMENT IN SCIENCE FOR ALL, THROUGH UNIQUE, HANDS-ON PROGRAMS AND EXHIBITS. THE DISCOVERY CREATES LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT RANGE FROM SIMPLE CURIOSITY TO DEEP UNDERSTANDING, EMPOWERING A COMMUNITY OF CRITICAL THINKERS. SINCE SEPTEMBER 2011, THE DISCOVERY HAS QUICKLY BECOME A VALUED EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR OUR REGION AND A CULTURAL ATTRACTION FOR TOURISTS. THE DISCOVERY HAS WELCOMED MORE THAN 1.4 MILLION VISITORS SINCE OPENING THE DOORS TO ITS VISITORS.
