THE EXPENSES FOR THESE CONCERTS ARE PAID WITH TICKET SALES, GERNEROUS DONATIONS FROM OUR PATRONS, AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND U.S. FEDERAL GRANTS. WE OFFER A VARIETY OF OPTIONS FOR PATRONS WHO WISH TO ATTEND CONCERTS BUT ARE UNABLE TO AFFORD THE TICKETS. THESE INCLUDE TEACHERS FROM THE REGION'S SCHOOLS, ALONG WITH THEIR FAMILIES. THESE LIVE CONCERTS BRING EXCEPTIONAL CHAMBER MUSIC TO NORTH FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COMMUNITIES' RESIDENTS, VISITORS AND TOURISTS.

MISCELLANEOUS

THE FESTIVAL HAS LONG HAD AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM AS PART OF ITS MISSION. AFTER THE PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION REVAMPED THIS PROGRAM, TO MOVE AWAY FROM INDIVIDUAL LESSONS FOR CHILDREN TO A LARGER COMMUNITY-WIDE PROGRAM. COLLABORATING WITH COUNCIL ON AGING AND SCHOOLS, THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN A COMMUNITY CHAMBER MUSIC PROGRAM TAUGHT BY A PROFESSIONAL MUSIC EDUCATOR. IT BRINGS TOGETHER BUDDING MUSICIANS OF ALL AGES (THIS YEAR BETWEEN 11 Y.O. AND 75 Y.O.), TO LEARN TO PLAY STRINGED INSTRUMENTS IN A CHAMBER MUSIC SETTING. THE PILOT PROGRAM IN 2022 PROVED VERY POPULAR, AND IT WILL BE CONTINUED IN FUTURE YEARS.

THE FESTIVAL CONDUCTS A ONE WEEK INTENSIVE PROGRAM EACH JUNE. YOUNG MUSICIANS STUDYING IN COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES AND CONSERVATORIES, PREPARING TO BE PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS, COME TO AMELIA ISLAND TO WORK WITH OUR QUARTET IN RESIDENCE (IN 2019-2023 THE DOVER QUARTET), 8 TO 12 HOURS EACH DAY. THE YOUNG MUSICIANS, ALONG WITH THE MEMBERS OF THE QUARTET IN RESIDENCE, PRESENT A CONCERT FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT THE END OF THE WEEK. AND DURING THE WEEK THE YOUNG MUSICIANS PERFORM AT LOCAL NURSING HOMES FOR THEIR RESIDENTS WHO CANNOT ATTEND CONCERTS IN PERSON.
