THE MISSION OF THE ARTS ASSOCIATION IN NEWTON COUNTY IS TO ENCOURAGE YOUTH AND ADULTS IN THE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARTS BOTH AS AUDIENCE AND AS ARTISTS AND TO PRESENT WORLD-CLASS ARTISTS TO ALL THE CITIZENS OF THE METRO ATLANTA AREA.

THE SCHOOL OF COVINGTON REGIONAL BALLET EXISTS TO INSPIRE, EDUCATE AND DEVELOP COMPREHENSIVE DANCE TECHNIQUE FOR STUDENTS AGES 8 THROUGH 18. THE SCHOOL OFFERS BALLET, POINTE, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, TAP, HIP HOP AND MUSICAL THEATER TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE VERSATILITY NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS IN TODAY'S EVER-CHANGING DANCE WORLD. THE SCHOOL ENCOURAGES THE DEVELOPMENT OF POSITIVE SELF-EXPRESSION THROUGH MOVEMENT WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY INSTILLING LIFELONG PRINCIPLES OF DISCIPLINE AND HEALTHFUL LIVING. COVINGTON REGIONAL BALLET IS COMMITTED TO THE PRODUCTION AND PRESENTATION OF HIGH QUALITY DANCE PROGRAMMING, WITH THE SPECIFIC GOALS OF PROVIDING LOCAL DANCERS WITH PRE-PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES.
YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAMS SPONSOR AND PROVIDE SINGING, MUSIC AND ART PROGRAMS FOR COUNTY SCHOOL CHILDREN. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE CREATIVE KIDS CAMP, MUSICAL THEATER CAMP, NEWTON COUNTY COMMUNITY BAND, OXFORD SINGING CHILDREN, OXFORD YOUTH SINGERS AND TRUE COLOURS YOUTH ART EXHIBIT.
THROUGH THE ARTS SERIES WE PROVIDE A VARIETY OF PERFORMANCES TO THE COMMUNITY. THE MAJOR PERFORMANCES INCLUDE COMMUNITY ARTS SERIES, CONCERTS ON THE SQUARE AND IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCIES.
