NU DECO IS VIRTUOSTIC AND ECLECTIC CHAMBER ORCHESTRA FOR THE 21ST CENTURY. OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE COMPELLING AND TRANSFORMATIVE GENRE-BENDING MUSICAL EXPERIENCES TO INSPIRE, ENRICH AND CONNECT NEW AND DIVERSE AUDIENCES AND ARTISTS.

SHOWCASE NEW CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGH PERFORMANCES AT THE LIGHT BOX THEATRE AND OTHER PERFORMANCE VENUES IN MIAMI. THESE PERFORMANCES CONSIST OF TODAY'S LIVING CLASSICAL MUSIC COMPOSERS, SEVERAL PERFORMANCES WERE CONDUCTED AND THIS ACTIVITY SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF "CREATING COMPELLING AND TRANSFORMATIVE GENRE-BENDING MUSICAL EXPERIENCES TO INSPIRE, ENRICH AND CONNECT NEW AND DIVERSE AUDIENCES".
EDUCATION OUTREACH PROGRAM - IN 2020, NU-DECO PROVIDED EDUCATION PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS FOR OVER 2,000 STUDENTS IN THE SOUTH MIAMI-DADE AREA. THIS INCLUDES TUTORING OF MUSIC LESSONS, SIDE-BY-SIDE COACHING AND PEER-TO-PEER INFLUENCE. SEVERAL STUDENTS ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM WITH THE ORCHESTRA. THE GOAL IS TO INFLUENCE STUDENTS IN FIFTH GRADE AND BELOW AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR MUSIC AND ARTISCTIC CURIOSITY AS THEY ENTER MIDDLE SCHOOL. AT THIS STAGE, STUDENTS CAN SELECT ELECTIVES IN MUSIC AND ARTS CLASSES OFFERED WITHIN THE MIAMI-DADE SCHOOLS SYSTEM.
