PROVISION OF SUBSIDIZED CHILD CARE VIA CONTRACTED SERVICES WITH CHILD CARE PROVIDERS IN LAKE COUNTY SERVING NEEDS OF INCOME ELIGIBLE AND AT-RISK CHILDREN. THE COALITION CONTRACTED WITH 64 CONTRACTED PROVIDERS AND SERVED 3,310 UNDUPLICATED CHILDREN FOR FY 2020-2021.
PROVISION OF PRE-KINDERGARDEN (AGE 4) EARLY INTERVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS/VOLUNTARY PRE-K PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AS MANDATED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA. A TOTAL OF 2,200 CHILDREN WERE ENROLLED DURING THE YEAR.
PROVISION OF EARLY EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDING CHILD CARE PROVIDER EDUCATION, SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS AND MOBILE RESOURCE UNIT. THE MOBILE RESOURCE UNIT (BIG BLUE BUS) (BBB) VISITS ABOUT 16 CENTERS A MONTH TO BRING ACTIVITIES AND READING PROGRAMS TO THE CHILD CARE CENTERS. THE BBB ALSO PARTICIPATED IN 4 COMMUNITY EVENTS AND DISTRIBUTED INFORMATION ABOUT THE ELCS PROGRAM AND SERVICES TO PARENTS AND CHILDREN THAT ATTENDED.
