APPROXIMATELY 24,612 CHILDREN SCREENED FOR VISION PROBLEMS. APPROXIMATELY 2,005 ADULTS SCREENED FOR VISION PROBLEMS, 1,533 REFERRED FOR FOLLOW-UP CARE EXAMS AND 279 FOR SPECIALTY EXAMS. PROVIDED 1,411 PAIRS OF PRESCRIPTION GLASSES, 618 PAIRS OF READING GLASSES. FACILITATED 67 EYE SURGERIES. TRAINED 100 VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH SCREENINGS. OVER 650 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE.
CONTRACT SERVICES WERE USED TO ASSIST WITH REGULAR SCREENING.
