THE TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN PROGRAM AWARDS STUDENTS A FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP IF THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: 1) MAINTAIN A 2.0 GPA, 2) STAY FREE OF DRUGS, ALCOHOL, AND DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS; AND 3) MEET WITH A MENTOR ONCE PER WEEK.
MATCHING GRANTS (MINI-GRANTS) PROVIDES ADDITIONAL RESOURCES TO TEACHERS OF THE SUWANNEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD WHO APPLY AND MEET CRITERIA RANKINGS AS DETERMINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
THE TEACHER OF THE YEAR PROGRAM PROMOTES EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING WITHIN THE SUWANNEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SCHOOL DISTRICT. ANNUALLY AWARDS ARE PROVIDED TO THOSE NOMINATED BY THEIR PEERS AND JUDGED WORTHY OF THE RECOGNITION FOR THEIR DEDICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS.
