THE MISSION OF INFORMED FAMILIES IS TO HELP KIDS GROW UP SAFE, HEALTHY AND DRUG FREE. THE SCOPE OF OUR WORK IS IN UNIVERSAL, TARGETED AND SELECTED SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION AND PARENT MOBILIZATION. WE PROVIDE UNIVERSAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION SERVICES IN HOMES, SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES ACROSS FLORIDA THROUGH YEAR-ROUND PREVENTION WITH FOUR CAMPAIGNS: FAMILY DAY, RED RIBBON WEEK, LOCK YOUR MEDS AND SAFE HOMES SMART PARTIES. EACH CAMPAIGN TARGETS AND MOTIVATES STUDENTS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE POSITIVE, HEALTHY CHOICES.ONE OF INFORMED FAMILIES SIGNATURE PROGRAMS IS THE RED RIBBON CERTFIIED SCHOOLS PROJECT WHICH IS CURRENTLY ACTIVE IN ORANGE AND MIAMI DADE PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM CERTIFIES SCHOOLS THAT ENGAGE IN YEAR ROUND PREVENTION ACTIVITIES AND REACHES OVER 500,000 STUDENTS AND PARENTS IN THESE COUNTIES.
