OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITIES SAFER AND DRUG-FREE. IN PART OF OUR EFFORTS WE CAN ACHIEVE THIS BY REDUCTIONS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS AMONG OUR COUNTYS YOUTH: EARLY INITIATION OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG USE; ALCOHOL USE, BINGE DRINKING, AND DRUG USE; ACCESS TO ALCOHOL; AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG USE. WE ALSO WORK TO INCREASE THE NUMBER AND QUALITY OF PREVENTION PROGRAMS AIMED AT MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS HERE IN MONROE COUNTY.

UNDER THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAMS, THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO REDUCE THE OVERALL LEVEL OF DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE IN MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA. AMONG THE GOALS ARE: 1) REDUCE UNDERAGE DRINKING AND OTHER DRUG USE AMONG TEENS 12-17; 2) REDUCE THE CONSEQUENCES OF TEEN ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG USE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIES TARGETING COMMUNITY LEVEL RISK FACTORS AND CONTRIBUTING FACTORS; AND 3) ADVOCATE AND EDUCATE TO RAISE AWARENESS OF TEEN ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG USE.
