TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING LAW ENFORCEMENT ISSUES, INCLUDING PREVENTATIVE MEASURES AND PROTECTION FROM UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES. VOLUNTEERS FROM THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE CONDUCT THIS ACTIVITY AT VARIOUS TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. TO MAKE PRESENTATIONS TO SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS ABOUT HOW TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS REGARDING ACCEPTABLE ACTIVITIES, DRUG AWARENESS AND AVOIDANCE, ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR INCLUDING ANGER MANAGEMENT. TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT ISSUES THROUGH EDUCATION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION.

PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO VOLUNTEER YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS WHICH EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT THE DANGERS OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE, HOW TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS, THE IMPORTANCE OF LAWS REGARDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TRAFFIC LAWS. PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S YOUTH RANCH. FUNDS ARE USED FOR HOUSING AND EDUCATING AT-RISK YOUNG PEOPLE PROVIDING THEM WITH A POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT OF ACCEPTABLE LAWFUL BEHAVIOR. HOLD BICYCLE RODEOS TO TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT TRAFFIC LAWS AND PROPER VEHICULAR OPERATION. PROVIDE SUPPORT TO OTHER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS TO ENHANCE PASCO COUNTY, FL
