THE FLORIDA COUNCIL OF THE BLIND, A STATE AFFILIATE OF THE AMERICAN COUNCIL OF THE BLIND, IS A STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION OF BLIND PEOPLE WORKING TO MAKE LIFE BETTER THROUGH PUBLIC EDUCATION, LEGISLATIVE ACTINOS AND PROVIDING A STATEWIDE INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICE THROUGH PROJECT INSIGHT. THE FLORIDA COUNCIL OF THE BLIND IS ALSO AN ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO THE VISUALLYU IMPAIRED COMMUNITIY. IT OFFERS EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES SPECIFIC TO THE NEEDS OF BLIND INDIVIUALS. PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS ADVANCEMENT OF BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS.
