THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SAVANNAH IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION-THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SAVANNAH IS AN ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM AND DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN. VARIOUS OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED FOR VOLUNTEERS TO LEARN ABOUT COMMUNITY ISSUES AND FURTHER DEVELOP THEMSELVES BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY THROUGH ATTENDANCE AT TRAINING PROGRAMS, MEETINGS, AND CONFERENCES.
COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROJECTS-THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SAVANNAH FOCUSES ITS SUPPORT ON A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY PROJECTS, COMMITTING FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEER HOURS IN AN EFFORT TO FULFILL ITS MISSION OF IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP. THE ORGANIZATION'S FOCUS AREA IS "WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY." FUNDING AND VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE PROVIDED TO A RANGE OF ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THAT FOCUS AREA INCLUDING THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, FIT KIDS FEST, DONE IN A DAY PROJECTS, KIDS WHO CARE SCHOLARSHIPS, AND COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE FUNDS FOR LOCAL 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS.
