THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF COLUMBIA, INC IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS-THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF COLUMBIA GATHERS INFORMATION RELATED TO THE NEEDS AND RESOURCES OF COMMUNITY AND USES THE INFORMATION TO PLAN AND SUPPORT VARIOUS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS WHICH FOCUS ON IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN.
VOLUNTEER TRAINING LEADERSHIP-THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF COLUMBIA PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ABOUT RELEVANT ISSUES AND TO DEVELOP PHILANTHROPICALLY, PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY THROUGH ANNUAL TRAINING PROGRAMS. WORKSHOPS, TRAINING SESSIONS, MEETING PRESENTATIONS AND COMMUNICATION MATERIALS PROVIDE INFORMATION ON VARIOUS TOPICS INCLUDING NONPROFIT GOVERNANCE, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY ISSUES. ALL PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE 1500 LEAGUE MEMBERS AND SELECT PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO AREA NONPROFIT AND GOVERNMENT PARTNERS.
