OUTREACH PROGRAM - DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, CENTRAL OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY CENTER CARED FOR 3,614 UNDUPLICATED GUESTS - MEN AND WOMEN WHO WERE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OR NEAR HOMELESSNESS IN METRO ATLANTA. AS A PARTNER ON THE JOURNEY OUT OF HOMELESSNESS, CENTRAL OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY CENTER PROVIDED ITS GUESTS WITH SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, JOB READINESS TRAINING, AND ONGOING CASE MANAGEMENT. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, WE COMPLETED ASSESSMENTS FOR 219 UNDUPLICATED PEOPLE, 33 PEOPLE OBTAINED EMPLOYMENT, AND 105 PEOPLE COMPLETED WORKSHOPS WHICH FOCUSED ON COMPUTER TRAINING, FINANCIAL LITERACY, INTERVIEWING SKILLS, AND RESUME BUILDING.
ADVOCACY - CENTRAL OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY CENTER SEEKS TO BE A PASSIONATE AND WELL-RESPECTED VOICE IN THE COMMUNITY ON BEHALF OF THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS AND IS COMMITTED TO COLLABORATING WITH AREA SERVICE PROVIDERS TO SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE THE RISK AND PREVALENCE OF HOMELESSNESS IN ATLANTA. IN 2024, WE ADDED A PART-TIME ADVOCACY COORDINATOR WHO WORKED ON ISSUES IDENTIFIED BY OUR GUESTS.
